Tims Story
My 25 years of experience in communications, started as a corporate account manager for Telecom Mobile in the early days of mobile technology. Later, I ran a call centre, worked for the inventor of the MRI scanner in Oxford, and then joined ADC Krone in 2007, which transitioned to TE Connectivity and later CommScope in 2015. Currently, I am the New Zealand Sales Manager for CommScope’s Building & Data Centre Connectivity businesses, overseeing supply chains, strategic accounts, and business partner relationships.
I am passionate about industry growth and served for 7 years on the BICSI South Pacific Committee, promoting education and excellence in ICT. My current involvement with CIANZ as a committee and Technical Advisory Group member, stems from strong interest in creating career pathways for school leavers in the cabling infrastructure industry.
By championing formal education and fostering opportunities in emerging technologies, I envision a bright future for the industry, with increasing demand for skilled professionals to meet evolving communications needs in New Zealand.
